Dialysis Unit/Center

VIHCF offers comprehensive renal replacement therapy (dialysis) services for people with chronic kidney disease. The Center provides 12 dialysis stations and one dialysis station in an isolation room. There is a dedicated team of providers who work together providing in-center hemodialysis, nutrition counseling and pre-emptive education and evaluations. Frequent care conferences with family members and your medical team ensures your needs are adequately being met. Temporary dialysis, supportive travel and crisis planning are also available at the Center.

Mental/Behavioral Health

Mental health professionals provide counseling, evaluations, and psychotherapy. We offer an integrated care model- your primary care provider and mental health therapist work together addressing your physical, psychological and emotional needs. If needed, medication management is coordinated with other healthcare professionals.Talking with our trained licensed professionals can make a difference in managing emotional distress that is impacting your health and daily functioning. Appointments are offered face to face or via telehealth.

Telehealth

Telehealth allows you to have an appointment with your healthcare provider without having to go into the clinic. Appointments are scheduled in a clinic room outfitted with equipment and technology that makes it possible for you to connect from your home or a confidential accessible location by phone, mobile devices or a computer. You also can receive specialized medical care by doctors at locations across the globe. Services provided via telehealth are primary care, behavioral health and follow up dialysis appointments.

This first level of care at VIHCF is focused on patient wellness and the prevention of severe health conditions. Services address your general and complex medical concerns by a highly qualified healthcare provider that coordinates care with other service providers, when needed. Primary care is a trusted resource that can give you a clear picture of your overall health and guide you through treatment options if you have a chronic condition that needs to be carefully managed.
